Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Arnold Rivers (ranked 7135 p4p, 0 weight class) and Darren Till (ranked 4820 p4p, 441 weight class). Till has chosen Sweet Caroline as his entrance music. Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Till has closed the distance and engaged Rivers in a clinch.
Till unloads a knee to the mid-section. Rivers lets out a prehistoric sounding urrrrgh.

Rivers jumps into guard, dragging Till to the mat.
Till wanted to stand there but Rivers had control of the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Rivers scores with a short punch from the bottom.
Till wants to stand but Rivers is controlling his posture from full guard.
Rivers lands with a heel strike from the guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Rivers is pulling down on Till's head. It's preventing any offense from Till, at least for the moment.

Rivers has managed to wall walk up one of the corner posts to get back to his feet. Till is pushing him up against the cage, looking to control the position.

Till landing knees to the body. They look like they could hurt.
Rivers creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses.
Rivers tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Till lands with a short head shot on the inside.
Good anti-grappling being displayed by Rivers as Till tries to tie him up.

Rivers has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Till uses from the top position.

Till creates a bit of space for himself and rocks Rivers with a big uppercut! Rivers tries to clinch up but Till pushes him back against the cage and lands another monster strike that crumples Rivers to the mat! Rivers covers up and Till unloads with more strikes until the referee steps in to end the bout!

Darren Till decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
