Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Tommy Richardson (ranked 4210 p4p, 410 weight class) and William Barker (ranked 3204 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
3 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Tommy Richardson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, William Barker!
The judges for this bout are Lou da Vinci, Chad Campbell and Russell Pearce.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Barker has managed to clinch.
Richardson goes for a takedown in the clinch but Barker prevents it.
Barker escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Richardson shoots in but no luck this time.
Barker misses with a head kick.
Richardson gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Barker.
Barker throws a right hand that Richardson ducks under and follows up with a left that Richardson also avoids with ease.
Richardson seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter.
Barker misses with a series of wild punches.
Richardson looks for a takedown but Barker sprawls well.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Tommy Richardson. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Barker throws a right and a left that both miss.
Barker misses with the combination.
Richardson clinches with his opponent.
Barker tries to break free but Richardson pushes him back against the cage.
Richardson breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Richardson's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Barker connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Richardson scrambles back to his feet.
Richardson is rocked!
That's one minute gone in the round.
Barker connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Richardson's hands.
Oh Richardson is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Barker misses with a series of wild punches.
Richardson shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Barker eats them both and turns towards Richardson to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
Barker misses with a double jab.
Barker takes the fight into the clinch.
Richardson has Barker pressed against the cage, preventing Barker from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
Barker tries to break free but Richardson pushes him back against the cage.
Richardson jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Barker walks away with a smile on his face. Richardson gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Richardson throws a jab but it's blocked by Barker.
Barker grits his teeth and throws a big right-left combo! Richardson takes both shots clean on the chin and is out cold! Barker cracks him once more on his way down, as the crowd goes wild! They enjoyed that one!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:28 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). William Barker!
