The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kriger looks for a takedown but Dawson sprawls well.

Dawson is pressed up against the cage. Kriger has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Dawson down to the mat. Dawson avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

Kriger tries to bum rush Dawson with a series of wild strikes but Dawson uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Horrible takedown attempt by Kriger or perhaps it was just good defense by Dawson, which made it look bad.

Daniel Kriger seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

A slapping leg kick lands for Kriger.

Kriger closes the distance and clinches up with Dawson, looking for a takedown. Kriger pushes Dawson against the cage but Dawson circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Dawson thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Dawson drops back looking for a leg! Kriger is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Kriger manages to kick Dawson off! Dawson jumps back into Kriger's guard.

Dawson drops back looking for a submission - "I'm sorry sir, but I'm gunna break your leg" says Dawson as he cranks on the unfortunate limb! Kriger screams and taps out before any major damage is done! Don't mess with Dawson! Nice submission victory there!
