Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Chris Kriss!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Chris George!
The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Daniel Franklin and Alan Glass.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

George moves into range and clinches up with Kriss.
The two fighters are working to gain dominance in the clinch.
Kriss stalling the fight.
Kriss is clearly stalling here... Pick up the pace son.
Kriss avoiding damage as George throws knees to the body.
Kriss lands a left hand.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
The referee is keeping an eye on Kriss - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.
George wants to break free but Kriss has control.
Kriss displaying some good clinch control by pressing George up against the cage.

George is trying to wear down his opponent with knees to the body.

I was talking to Kriss's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
George jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Kriss walks away with a smile on his face. George gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
George shoots in but no luck this time.
Kriss pulls out of a head kick attempt.

George forces Kriss back against the cage and clinches.
George lands with a good tight uppercut to the head.
George is trying to pull guard but Kriss turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.
Chris Kriss has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Chris George.

George is trying to maintain a safe position but Kriss gets an underhook and turns George into the cage.

George gets a double leg takedown into Kriss's guard.

Kriss has scooted to the edge of the canvas and used the cage to get back to his feet. George has stuck on his opponent and is forcing him back against the cage.

George ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. George no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Chris Kriss will probably get the nod.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


George ducks under a wild hook from Kriss.
Kriss misses with a looping left.
George tries to close the distance and clinch up but Kriss swats him away and circles back towards the center.
A slow jab from Kriss misses its intended target.
Chris Kriss seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
George moves out of range as Kriss strikes.
George tries to clinch but Kriss moves out of range.
Kriss fakes high and swings low for a body shot but George manages to avoid it.
Kriss misses with a straight left.
Kriss misses with a body shot.
Kriss is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that George can do to turn this around?
No luck for George with that takedown attempt.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
George tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and George takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
George moves out of range of the strikes.
Kriss throws a big shot that misses.
Kriss misses with an uppercut
and George counters with a straight right hand.
George shoots in and drives through. Kriss sprawls well.
Kriss displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from George.
Chris Kriss has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Chris George.
George is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Kriss throws a right and a left that both miss.
George is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Good exchange - George coming out on top.
Kriss throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and George counters with a flying knee. Nice.


Kriss is rocked!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

George closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Oh Kriss is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!

George swings around for an armbar but Kriss sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into George's guard.
Kriss wants to stand but George has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
Kriss controls from within his opponent's guard.
Kriss trying to control the position from guard on top but George is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Kriss seems to have got his legs back now.
George trying to keep a closed guard but Kriss is proving a slippery customer.

Kriss stands up and waves to George to follow him.
George bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Kriss throws the left hand but George avoids the punch easily.
George has a takedown stuffed.
Kriss paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
A jab from Kriss misses.
George appeared to try and counter that last move with a leg kick.
George shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Kriss as he jumps to the side.

George walks into a stiff left hand from Kriss.
Kriss misses with a wild combination.
Kriss takes a head kick and keeps coming.
Kriss fails to land with a series of punches.
George with the counter takedown but Kriss avoids it easily.
George is looking to clinch but Kriss is avoiding it.
George shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Kriss as he avoids it easily.
Kriss is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all.
George dodges the punch combination from Kriss.
Chris Kriss is winning the standup battle so far.
George moves out of range of the strikes.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Chris Kriss dominated that second round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!


George looks to land a combination. Kriss sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
Kriss throws a sloppy body shot
and George counters with a two punch combo.
George jabs Kriss to the body, keeping him at a distance.
George ducks under a wild hook from Kriss.
Kriss rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but George moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Kriss throws a nice looking combination but George bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
George lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.
Kriss misses with a right hand
and George counters with a flying knee that drops Kriss! George dives in and finishes the fight with a flurry of strikes from the mount!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:38 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Chris George!
Chris George decided to hype himself up post fight. It was going well but he went on about it a bit too long and the crowd turned on him a little.
