The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pipi Jr lands a lovely overhand right.

Madsen pushes Pipi Jr up against the cage in a clinch.
Pipi Jr is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Madsen is defending well for now.

Madsen manages to pull guard.

Pipi Jr postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Madsen is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Pipi Jr, into his guard.

Pipi Jr utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Pipi Jr can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Madsen controls the pace.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Pipi Jr is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Madsen has his hands clasped together but Pipi Jr extends and breaks Madsen's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Pipi Jr.

Mai Pipi Jr was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
