Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Loyd Simmons (ranked 24440 p4p, 0 weight class) and Yorgan De Romero (ranked 5724 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Loyd Simmons!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Yorgan De Romero!
The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Alan Glass and Frank Dennis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Romero closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Simmons sneaks out the side door and pushes Romero away - he's back to his feet. The crowd show their appreciation for the escape.

Romero drives through with a takedown into guard.
Romero is looking to work some ground and pound but Simmons has wrist control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Simmons is trying to hold Romero in close to prevent damage but Romero has managed to pass into half guard.

Romero turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Romero manages to end up in side control.

Romero is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. Simmons is defending well though. Romero let's go of the attempt for now.
Romero slows the pace down here. Having a little breather whilst he's in a dominant position, looking to rest and regain some energy, ready to go for the finish.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.



Romero feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Romero stands and steps away. Simmons gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

Romero sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Simmons's guard.

Well Romero has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
