Rose clinches with his opponent.
Rose is trying to push Growdy away but Growdy has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.

Rose pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Growdy moves in looking to clinch but Rose pushes him off.

Rose rushes Growdy and presses him up against the cage.
Rose has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Growdy after a bit of a struggle.
Growdy is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage.
Growdy wants to break the clinch but can't.

Growdy misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Rose throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Growdy was covering up waiting for the punch and Rose finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Growdy knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Rose on the ground.
Rose lands a couple of decent looking shots.
Growdy is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Rose dives into side control.
Rose works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head.
