Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Arnold Rivers (ranked 4749 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kenny Harris (ranked 4657 p4p, 0 weight class). Kenny Harris is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Arnold Rivers!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Kenny Harris!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Frank Dennis and Tiny Johnson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rivers shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Harris but Harris pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Rivers shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Harris napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Harris tries to bench press Rivers off him but Rivers keeps the position.

Rivers stands up and we're back to a striking position.

Harris tries to sprawl but Rivers drives through with a takedown into half guard.
Rivers throwing shots but Harris is blocking nicely.
Harris tries to roll over but Rivers keeps him under control.
Rivers is looking to take a break and control but Harris is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Rivers slips a nice elbow through Harris's hands, connecting with Harris's forehead.

Harris is trying to maintain the position but Rivers is very close to passing his half guard.
Harris is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Rivers throws a strike but Harris avoids it easily and moves to full guard.
Harris not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

Harris has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Rivers can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Harris looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Rivers knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Harris on the ground.

Harris working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Rivers doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Rivers manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Harris is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Rivers is aware though and is defending well.
Rivers working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Harris's head.
Harris wants to control but instead he gets his guard passed and Rivers is now in half guard.
Rivers trying to control the action but Harris is working from the bottom.
Harris is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Harris is staying active underneath Rivers, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Harris has hold of Rivers's hands but Rivers slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
Rivers wants to stand up but Harris is controlling the position.
Rivers wants to stand up but Harris manages to regain full guard.
Rivers throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Harris works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Rivers makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
Rivers working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Harris's head.

Harris preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
Rivers trying to control the position from guard on top but Harris is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Rivers tries to stand but Harris is controlling from the bottom.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

Harris changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Rivers looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Rivers is looking for a sweep.
Rivers is working hard here to advance position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Arnold Rivers will probably get the nod.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.



Harris shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Harris showed some decent athleticism there.
Harris is trying to control. Rivers wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Harris is looking to stall here but Rivers recovers full guard.

Harris drops back looking for a leg! Rivers is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Rivers manages to kick Harris off! Harris jumps back into Rivers's guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Rivers is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.

Harris drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Harris jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Harris trying to control the position from guard on top but Rivers is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Rivers is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Harris passes into half guard under a barage of strikes.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Rivers is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Harris not doing much here.
Harris is thwarting Rivers's attempts to control the position.
Harris is trying to control. Rivers wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Rivers shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Harris pinned against the cage. Harris gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Harris closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Rivers quickly recovers to half guard.
Rivers tries to kick Harris off in order to stand up. Harris Avoids the leg push though and dives into side control.

Harris looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
Rivers is trying to get back to half guard.

Harris thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Rivers throwing some weak shots from the bottom that do no damage.
Rivers tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Kenny Harris showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!



Harris throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Rivers was covering up waiting for the punch and Harris finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Rivers throwing some rather feeble looking strikes off his back.
Kenny Harris has got the better of the ground game so far.
Rivers is trying to keep Harris in close.
Harris is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

Rivers gets caught napping as Harris dives in and scores a takedown. Rivers manages to retain guard.
Harris is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

Rivers wants to hit a switch here but Harris passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Rivers there!
Harris avoids the attempt from Rivers to control.
Harris sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.
Rivers really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Rivers tries to lock up and control but Harris gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

Harris is continuing to stall.

Rivers bucks up and throws Harris to the side - he's got back to his feet. Great escape!

Harris looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.

Harris is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Rivers has managed to free his arm - good work.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Harris is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Harris takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Rivers is refusing to be controlled, as Harris sits in half guard.

Harris is working for a submission of some sort.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Rivers pushes Harris off looking to stand but Harris dives back in and keeps control.

And that's the end of the fight!
Kenny Harris comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Harris has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
