Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Rasul Dolaev (ranked 2837 p4p, 0 weight class) and Murad Tursunboev (ranked 3530 p4p, 0 weight class). Rasul Dolaev looks tired to me. Hopefully he has got enough gas left in the tank to put in a good performance.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 5 - 1, fighting out of New York, Murad Tursunboev!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Dolaev!
Dolaev fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Tursunboev fails with a takedown attempt.

Dolaev clinches with his opponent.
Dolaev is trying to pull guard but Tursunboev turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.
Dolaev is pressed up against the cage. Tursunboev has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Dolaev down to the mat. Dolaev avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Tursunboev has a takedown stuffed.
Rasul Dolaev has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Murad Tursunboev.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Dolaev dives in and grabs Tursunboev's left leg, looking for a takedown. Tursunboev pushes down on Dolaev's head and hops out.

Dolaev fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Tursunboev, pushing him back against the cage.
Dolaev is looking to break free of the clinch but Tursunboev has double underhooks.
Tursunboev tries a knee to the head but he's missed.

Tursunboev jumps into guard, dragging Dolaev to the mat.
Dolaev has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Dolaev loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Dolaev is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Tursunboev lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Dolaev has his foot on Tursunboev's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Tursunboev works his way back into a safe position though.

Dolaev has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Tursunboev is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Dolaev.

The ground and pound from Tursunboev seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent.
Dolaev is trying to get back to half guard.
Tursunboev is working Dolaev over with some ground and pound from side control.
You can see the frustration on Dolaev's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.

Dolaev is breathing heavily.
Tursunboev thowing shots but they're missing.

Dolaev is looking to get to half guard.
Dolaev wants to hold on but Tursunboev pushes him away.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Dolaev misses with a kick to the body.
Tursunboev is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Dolaev misses with a series of wild punches.
A combination from Dolaev does no damage.
Tursunboev avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Tursunboev drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Dolaev defends it well.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Dolaev.
Tursunboev tries to clinch up but Dolaev circles away and keeps his distance.

As Tursunboev tries to get set, Dolaev tries to push him back and clinch up but Tursunboev manages to avoid the attempt.

Dolaev is pushing Tursunboev up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Tursunboev tries for a takedown. No joy.
Dolaev can't break the clinch.
Dolaev keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Tursunboev's efforts to push away.

Tursunboev gets control of Dolaev's arms and successfully pulls guard. Tursunboev will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Dolaev lands with an uppercut that bounces Tursunboev off the cage and back into range.
Dolaev shoots for a double leg takedown but Tursunboev sprawls well. He's pushed Dolaev's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Dolaev stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Dolaev wants it to stay on the feet.

Tursunboev shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
It looked like Dolaev was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.

Dolaev lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
Tursunboev keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Tursunboev looks to land a combination but Dolaev avoids it well.

Dolaev takes the fight into the clinch.

Dolaev wants to control from the top but Tursunboev keeps moving.
Dolaev is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.

Tursunboev keeping moving, preventing Dolaev from controlling successfully.
Dolaev throws an elbow that misses. Tursunboev uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Dolaev's guard. Nice move by Tursunboev!


Dolaev pushes Tursunboev off and scrambles back to his feet.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Tursunboev goes for a double leg but Dolaev avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Dolaev continues to drive forward.
Tursunboev avoids the head kick by Dolaev.
Dolaev throws a right hand that Tursunboev ducks under and follows up with a left that Tursunboev also avoids with ease.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Rasul Dolaev dominated that second round.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! This is the final round!

Dolaev pushes off an throws an elbow but Tursunboev leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage.

Dolaev tries to pull guard but Tursunboev won't allow it.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Tursunboev looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
Dolaev pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage.

Dolaev on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Dolaev tries to get out of the position.

Dolaev is looking to regain full guard. He's left an arm up in the air though and Tursunboev has latched onto it... Big trouble! Tursunboev pivots for an armbar - it's in tight and it Dolaev is tapping in no time flat! Great counter grappling there from Tursunboev!
