These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Richardson bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick.
Moreno throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Richardson.
Richardson keeps the fight on the outside.

Moreno has managed to clinch.
Richardson is trying to pull guard but Moreno turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.
Richardson is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Moreno pulls him back up using the underhooks.
Richardson drops down looking for an ankle pick but Moreno pulls his leg out and moves away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Tommy Richardson. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Richardson drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Moreno gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Moreno wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Richardson has him pressed against the cage.

A telegraphed takedown attempt from Richardson is defended easily by Moreno.
Moreno looks to land a combination but Richardson avoids it well.
Moreno tries to clinch but Richardson moves out of range.
Richardson takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.

Moreno just manages to avoid a counter high kick fromRichardson.
Alberto Moreno seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Richardson gets in close and instigates a clinch.

Richardson escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Richardson fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Moreno lands a jab.

Richardson is rocked!
Moreno tries to clinch but Richardson is having none of it.
Moreno keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

Moreno drops Richardson with a straight right hand, right on the button! Moreno follows him down to the mat and pounds him out with hammerfists until the referee jumps in to end the fight!
