Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Mykhail Medvedev (ranked 4115 p4p, 0 weight class) and Stephen Oyalade (ranked 6912 p4p, 0 weight class). There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Medvedev shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Oyalade pinned against the cage. Oyalade gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Oyalade fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Medvedev avoids it really well and circles away.
Medvedev darts in looking for a takedown but Oyalade gets double underhooks and turns Medvedev into the cage.
Medvedev looks for a takedown but Oyalade sprawls well.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Oyalade thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.

Medvedev shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Oyalade as he jumps to the side.
Oyalade goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.

Medvedev wants to take the fight to the mat but Oyalade manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.

Oyalade is pushing down on Medvedev's leg trying to pass to half guard. Medvedev is fighting to maintain full guard but Oyalade has managed to sneak the leg through.

Oyalade throws some wild stikes that Medvedev manages to avoid easily.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Oyalade wants to control the pace but Medvedev is squirming around nicely.
Oyalade might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Medvedev haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

Stephen Oyalade showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Oyalade seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Medvedev does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Oyalade is looking to take a break and control but Medvedev is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Medvedev tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Oyalade wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Oyalade is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Medvedev's shoulder. That is not cool.
