The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Khalilov has taken the fight to the clinch.
Candovski on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
Khalilov is trying to force a seperation but Candovski has the dominant position.
Khalilov throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Candovski blocks it with crossed arms.
The referee calls for Khalilov to work.
Candovski is trying to pull guard but Khalilov turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.
Candovski is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath.
Khalilov prevents a takedown attempt there.
Candovski avoiding damage as Khalilov throws knees to the body.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Candovski shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Khalilov as he jumps to the side.

Khalilov has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Candovski clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!

Abusupyan Khalilov overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Khalilov really has the hooks in deep now - there seems like no escape for Candovski.

Khalilov patiently working for the choke. Which fighter will keep their nerve here?
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Khalilov gets his hooks in and is throwing strikes.

Khalilov is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Candovski knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Candovski for a finish.
Khalilov is looking cool and calm here, just waiting for a good opportunity to attack and finish the fight from this dominant position.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Khalilov lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Candovski down.
Candovski is trying to improve his position.
Candovski wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done!
Khalilov wants to stand but Candovski has his arm trapped.

Khalilov thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

You can see the frustration on Candovski's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Khalilov misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.

Khalilov shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Candovski manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Candovski takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Khalilov is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
Khalilov's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Abusupyan Khalilov is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

Candovski is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Khalilov pulls his head out easily.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Khalilov, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
