The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kaba tries to land a front kick but Gunn steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Gunn has a takedown stuffed.
Gunn shoots in but Kaba avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Gunn is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Kaba's half guard.

Kaba manages to escape and get back to his feet!

Kaba tries to sprawl but Gunn drives through with a takedown into half guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Kaba won't allow Gunn to pass to mount.
Kaba tries to roll over but Gunn keeps him under control.
Gunn definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.

Gunn seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.

Gunn is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Gunn tries to pass the half guard into mount. Kaba knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Gunn is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Kaba misses with some strikes from the bottom.
Kaba is looking for a sweep. Gunn is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Kaba is trying to control Gunn's posture. Gunn takes advantage of the lull and advances to side control. He also appears to have an arm triangle here! Uh oh, big trouble for Kaba! Gunn is rotating here... this could be the end... Kaba is out! Gunn has ended this one emphatically! Great submission!
