The judges for this bout are Igor Prikhodko, Illya Tyunina and Dmitry Maklakov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kong falls off balance throwing a combination
and Simpson cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Simpson connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Kong momentarily.
No joy there for Kong, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Kong misses with a double jab
letting Simpson counter with a right hand.

and Simpson counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Kong thinking.
A slow jab from Simpson misses its intended target.
Kong slips a straight right by Simpson.
Dub Kong seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Kong misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Simpson looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
Kong swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
A little jabbing left from Simpson on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Kong throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Simpson! But no joy.
No joy there for Kong, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Kong throws a nice looking combination but Simpson bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Simpson throws out a counter right but Kong avoids it with no problem.
Simpson fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.

and Simpson counters with a crisp right hand that drops Kong! Simpson lets Kong back up to his feet, looking for a finish!
Oh Kong is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Kong displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Simpson throws out the jab.
Kong seems to have got his legs back now.

and Simpson counters with a crisp right hand that drops Kong! Simpson lets Kong back up to his feet, looking for a finish!
Kong switches off momentarily and Simpson cracks him with a monster right hand! Kong topples backwards and makes a semi conscious attempt to cover up, as Simpson dives in to land one more shot, before the referee has time to call the fight. What a finish by Simpson!

Our winner, Richie Simpson, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
