The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
SuviMALI pushes Gold up against the cage in a clinch.
Gold doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
SuviMALI tries to land knees in the clinch but Gold avoids the damage to the body.
The referee is keeping an eye on SuviMALI - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.
SuviMALI jumps guard but Gold turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.
SuviMALI drags the fight down to the ground.
SuviMALI is looking for a triangle but Gold pushes his legs off easily.
Gold trying to control but SuviMALI is working from the bottom.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Gold is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
SuviMALI wants to stand up but Gold is controlling him.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Gold is pushing down on SuviMALI's leg trying to pass to half guard. SuviMALI is fighting to maintain full guard but Gold has managed to sneak the leg through.
Gold has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can SuviMALI defend it? Gold steps over the head and cranks it - SuviMALI is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Gold!
