Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Charlie Carter (ranked 5508 p4p, 0 weight class) and Vladimir Simeonov (ranked 2943 p4p, 279 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Vladimir Simeonov!
The judges for this bout are Sam Margolis, Phil Schofield and James Atkins.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Carter rushes Simeonov and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

Simeonov tries to circle away but Carter has him pinned against the cage.
Simeonov is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Carter is keeping busy.

Carter is stalling here.
Simeonov tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.

Carter ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Carter no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Simeonov throws an elbow that misses. Carter uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Simeonov's guard. Nice move by Carter!

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Carter chips away with some ground and pound.

Carter advances position into side control!
Carter is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Simeonov's shoulder. That is not cool.

Carter lands a few punches from side control.
Simeonov is working to avoid the ground and pound but Carter connects with a decent elbow.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Carter stands up and beckons Simeonov to his feet.

Carter looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Simeonov!

Simeonov really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Carter. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Carter works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head.

Carter has an Americana. Simeonov didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Carter is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Carter hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
