Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Petah Miller (ranked 3142 p4p, 389 weight class) and TIny T Rex (ranked 2727 p4p, 345 weight class). TIny T Rex acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Petah Miller!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, TIny T Rex!
The judges for this bout are Damien Edna, Ron Honeybunn and Steve Erwin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rex cracks Miller with a good jab.
Rex stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Rex wants it to stay on the feet.
Rex shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Miller pinned against the cage. Miller gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Rex throws a series of punches but Miller moves out of range.

Rex throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Miller was covering up waiting for the punch and Rex finishes the takedown easily into guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Miller throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.
Rex engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Rex wants to control from the top but Miller keeps moving.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Rex postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
Miller is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Rex throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Miller works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Rex chips away with some ground and pound.
Miller is trying to control the position but Rex postures up.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Rex connects with a good right hand that stumbles Miller. Miller circles away out of range and recomposes himself.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Miller enables Rex to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Miller manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Rex postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Miller is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Rex advances to half guard.
Rex throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.

Rex is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Rex connects with a nice short shot to Miller's temple.

Miller is looking to control Rex's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Miller avoid being mounted?

Miller is defending against the submission attempts here by Rex.
Rex working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Miller is trying to get back to full guard.
Miller on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Miller tries to get out of the position.

Rex misses with a two punch combination.
Miller has a takedown stuffed.
Miller shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Rex pinned against the cage. Rex gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Rex tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Miller defends well and Rex ends up having to push Miller into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
A little feinted left hand from Miller on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.

and Miller counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Petah Miller is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Rex shoots for a takedown but Miller saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
No luck for Rex with that takedown attempt.
Petah Miller has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of TIny T Rex.

Miller on the wrong end of some ground and pound.
Miller is not content to let Rex control the position.

Rex has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Rex connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Miller some visible discomfort.

Miller is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Rex asserts his dominance and retains side control.

TIny T Rex showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!


Miller dives in and grabs Rex's left leg, looking for a takedown. Rex pushes down on Miller's head and hops out.

Rex changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Miller looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Rex has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Miller's face.

Rex wants to finish this one by submission but Miller is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Rex.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Miller is in a horrible position here. Rex smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.

Rex has hold of Miller's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Miller manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

Rex postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Miller looks a forlorn figure.

TIny T Rex is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
Rex is landing with some decent strikes but Miller is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.

TIny T Rex comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Rex has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
