Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Michal Bagietka!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Anton Marks!
The judges for this bout are Yuuki Gou, Shigeki Fujiwara and Tatsuya Matsuyama.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Marks tries to score a power double leg takedown but Bagietka sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Marks somewhat.
Marks lands with a good body shot.
Bagietka throws a series of punches but Marks avoids them all with ease.

Marks drives through and clinches with Bagietka against the cage.
Bagietka tries to pull guard but Marks forces him back to his feet, against the cage.

Marks pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Bagietka moves out of range of the leg kick from Marks.
Bagietka misses with a body shot.
Marks feints the counter takedown.
Marks fails with the takedown.
Bagietka uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Marks.

Bagietka tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Marks paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Marks shoots in for a takedown but Bagietka shows good takedown defense.
Bagietka throws a quick counter head kick but Marks was just out of range.
Michal Bagietka has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Anton Marks.
Marks shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Bagietka as he avoids it easily.
Bagietka fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Bagietka shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Marks pinned against the cage. Marks gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Bagietka tries to keep at a distance but Marks has taken the fight into the clinch.

Bagietka decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.

and Marks holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.

Marks tries to score a body lock takedown but Bagietka shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
A frustrated look appears on Bagietka's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Marks stalls.
Marks managing to block the knees to the body from Bagietka.
Marks tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Marks has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Bagietka is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Marks has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Bagietka after a bit of a struggle.

Bagietka misses with a hook from the clinch.
Marks keeps control of Bagietka as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.

Marks breaks from the clinch.

Bagietka gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Marks is trying to pull guard but Bagietka has him pressed against the cage.

Marks jumps guard but Bagietka stands there with Marks around his waist. Marks gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Bagietka jumps guard but Marks turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.
Bagietka is looking to break free of the clinch but Marks has double underhooks.
Marks is working for takedown but Bagietka is calmly controlling the position for now.

Marks pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Sloppy strikes from Bagietka. Those never looked like landing.
Bagietka dives in and grabs Marks's left leg, looking for a takedown. Marks pushes down on Bagietka's head and hops out.
Marks changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.
Bagietka fails in his attempt to clinch.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Marks misses with a kick to the body
letting Bagietka counter with a right hand.
Bagietka throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Marks keeps the fight on the outside.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Michal Bagietka will probably get the nod.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Marks tries to bum rush Bagietka with a series of wild strikes but Bagietka uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Bagietka throws a counter high kick but Marks was just alert enough to avoid it.
Marks fails with a takedown attempt.

Marks moves into the clinch successfully.
Marks stalling here - the referee won't stand for too much of that.
Bagietka wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Marks has him pressed against the cage.

and Marks holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Bagietka is trying to push Marks away but Marks has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
Marks jumps guard but Bagietka stands there with Marks around his waist. Marks gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky.

Marks jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Bagietka walks away with a smile on his face. Marks gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Anton Marks showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!

Bagietka shoots in for a takedown but Marks shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Bagietka tries to throw a body punch but Marks avoids it by throwing Bagietka back against the cage.

Bagietka is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.
Bagietka drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Marks gets the underhooks and prevents it.

Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Marks shoots in looking for a takedown but Bagietka manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Marks's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Bagietka is trying hard to land a takedown here. Marks sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Marks can do anything to dispel that myth.

Marks looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Bagietka has picked Marks up and slammed him! Marks can't keep hold of the triangle and Bagietka manages to pass to side control!

Marks is not content to let Bagietka control the position.
Marks is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.

Marks tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Bagietka wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
A control attempt from Marks but he's now mounted!
Marks is looking to improve his position but Bagietka isn't that keen on the idea.
Marks tries to hold on but Bagietka pushes him away.
Marks is trying to avoid being dragged into an even worse position than he's already in but Bagietka is staying active.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Marks has given up his back, trying to stand up. Not clever.
Bagietka controlling from the back.
Bagietka wants to control but Marks is keeping busy.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

I would just about give that final round to Anton Marks.
I think Marks has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
