The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Emelianenko shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Cop but Cop pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Cop throws a head kick that half lands.
Cop connects with a high kick.
Emelianenko connects with a body shot.
Emelianenko misses the shot to the body.
Emelianenko shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Cop pinned against the cage. Cop gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Cop gets cracked there but stands up to it.

It looks like Cro Cop has been cut.
Cop looks gassed!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
The fighters circling - Emelianenko throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Emelianenko moves into range and throws a big uppercut. OH! Cop goes down! Can Emelianenko finish him!?

Emelianenko thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Cop is still in real trouble! Can Emelianenko finish him?
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Emelianenko stands up from Cop's guard - Emelianenko perhaps looking for a knockout.
Cop seems to have recovered his senses.
Emelianenko looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ruslan Emelianenko. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Cop moves out of range as Emelianenko strikes.

Cop tries a head kick but it misses.
A head kick misses from Cop.
Cop throws a head kick but Emelianenko moves out of range.

Emelianenko cracks Cop with a big right hand and Cop goes down!

Emelianenko stands up and waves to Cop to follow him.
Cop looks up at the clock. Bad move! Emelianenko lands a right hand from hell, dropping Cop. Emelianenko pounces and finishes the fight with a flurry of punches and elbows.
