Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Al Sanchez!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Nic Sella!
The judges for this bout are George Francis, Tiny Johnson and Gwen Towbar.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Sella clinches with his opponent.

Sanchez has picked Sella up - he's going for a ride! Sanchez dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.
Sanchez throws a strike but Sella avoids it easily and moves to full guard.
Sanchez loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Sanchez won't allow Sella to get back to his feet.

Sanchez drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Sella dives on top into guard.

Sella is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Sanchez throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Let's hope that Sella has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
Sanchez has control of Sella's left arm, preventing Sella from doing any damage.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Sanchez slips a jab and a cross from Sella.

Sella darts in and clinches Sanchez up against the cage.
Sanchez tries to pull guard but Sella forces him back to his feet, against the cage.

Sella escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Sella pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Sanchez tries to close the distance and clinch up but Sella swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Sella manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.

Sanchez stands and steps away. Sella gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Sanchez throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Sella's waist but Sella gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Sanchez off to one side.

No joy there for Sella, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Sella misses with a jab, cross combination.

Sella pushes Sanchez up against the cage in a clinch.

Sanchez looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Sanchez changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Sella looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Sella tries to bum rush Sanchez with a series of wild strikes but Sanchez uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors.

Nic Sella showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.

Sanchez shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Sella pinned against the cage. Sella gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Nic Sella is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
Sanchez tries to score a power double leg takedown but Sella sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Sanchez somewhat.

Sella lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.

Well Sella has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
