Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Thing Thing (ranked 1165 p4p, 133 weight class) and Gustav Ahr (ranked 1142 p4p, 129 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Thing might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Thing. Thing Thing has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

10 - 9 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Gustav Ahr!
The judges for this bout are Shigeki Fujiwara, Yuuki Gou and Shigeki Sano.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ahr misses the jab.
Thing tries to counter by clinching up but Ahr breaks away and moves out of range.
Thing pushes Ahr up against the cage in a clinch.
Thing doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
Ahr tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.
Thing's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.

Thing has picked Ahr up - he's going for a ride! Thing dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.
Ahr is trying to maintain the position but Thing is very close to passing his half guard.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Ahr looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Thing lands a couple of elbows.
Thing might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Thing is just content to waste time from the top position. Ahr takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Ahr is on top in guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Ahr is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

Thing had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Ahr defends it easily.
Thing controls Ahr momentarily but Ahr frees himself.

Ahr is looking to advance position but Thing has hit a scissor sweep - now he's on top in mount!
Thing lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.

Ahr is trying desperately to improve position.

Thing prevents Ahr from getting the reversal.

Ahr has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Ahr is bucking up trying to escape but Thing cracks him with another couple of good strikes.
Ahr is rocked!
Ahr takes a big shot to the dome and his eyes have rolled back in his head! Thing's killer instinct has kicked in as he finishes the fight with more strikes. Impressive finish.
