Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Tony Vespuci (ranked 4078 p4p, 356 weight class) and Aydarbek Kamchybekov (ranked 7129 p4p, 477 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Vespuci closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Vespuci looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Kamchybekov is avoiding damage well.

Vespuci thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Vespuci decides to stand back up. Vespuci steps back and let's Kamchybekov get back to his feet.

Vespuci looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Vespuci is trying to control. Kamchybekov wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Kamchybekov wants to get back to his feet.
Vespuci content to control rather than advance.
Kamchybekov is not content to let Vespuci control the position.
Well, if Vespuci is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Vespuci lands a nice short elbow.
Vespuci has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Vespuci is looking for a kimura but Kamchybekov is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Vespuci to get the leverage.
Both fighters have adopted an aggressive gameplan on the ground!

Vespuci is trying to control the action in half guard but Kamchybekov is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

Kamchybekov has one foot on Vespuci's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet.

Vespuci closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Kamchybekov is defending against the submission attempts here by Vespuci.
Vespuci takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Vespuci is keen to just control but Kamchybekov is a slippery customer.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Kamchybekov can do anything to dispel that myth.

Vespuci maintaining the dominant position here and is working for a kimura. He's locked it up! Kamchybekov could be in real trouble here! He's trying to wriggle out but Vespuci has cracked it and Kamchybekov is screaming in pain - he's tapped out! Great finish by Vespuci!

Tony Vespuci decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
