Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between jose gomez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dill Donny (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Donny drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
You can see the frustration on gomez's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

gomez is looking for a sweep.
gomez takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
Donny fails to land a wild elbow strike.
gomez is trying to get back to half guard.

Donny is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. gomez knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Donny closes the distance and clinches up with gomez, looking for a takedown. Donny pushes gomez against the cage but gomez circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Donny avoids a punch combination nicely.
Donny lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

gomez decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
gomez prevents Donny from standing back up.
Donny tries to roll over but gomez keeps him under control.

gomez looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Donny is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst gomez is controlling him.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Donny has a takedown stuffed.
gomez tries to close the distance and clinch up but Donny swats him away and circles back towards the center.

and Donny counters with a series of strikes. gomez will be more careful next time no doubt.

gomez shoots for a double leg takedown but Donny sprawls well. He's pushed gomez's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
