The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mike shoots in but Stoner avoids the takedown attempt easily.

and Stoner counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Jaxon Stoner has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tyson Mike.

Stoner scrambles and gets back to his feet.
Mike changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Stoner tries to avoid it but Mike manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Stoner to the ground. Stoner escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Mike gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Stoner to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Stoner loads up on a big left hand. Mike felt that one! He's just covering up now, not defending himself intelligently - Stoner looks towards the ref and unloads with 3 more big shots and the ref has no choice but to stop the fight! Mike can't hide his disappointment, as Stoner celebrates the victory.
