Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Kyle Lewis (ranked 3464 p4p, 413 weight class) and Riley Sykes (ranked 6544 p4p, 593 weight class). Lewis comes to the cage accompanied by DMX - Slippin. Sykes has chosen Bouncing Souls - Ole as his entrance music. Kyle Lewis has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sykes looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Lewis is fending him off so far but Sykes persists. Nope, Lewis circles away and we're back to standing.
Sykes tries to clinch up but Lewis circles away and keeps his distance.
Sykes is looking to clinch but Lewis is avoiding it.
Sykes fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Lewis avoids it really well and circles away.
Lewis attempts a counter takedown but Sykes avoids it well and moves away.
Sykes dives in and grabs Lewis's left leg, looking for a takedown. Lewis pushes down on Sykes's head and hops out.
Kyle Lewis has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Riley Sykes.
Sykes tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Lewis paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Lewis drives through with a takedown into guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Lewis is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Lewis connects with a couple of short punches.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Lewis controls from within his opponent's guard.

Lewis drops back looking for a leg! Sykes is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Sykes manages to kick Lewis off! Lewis jumps back into Sykes's guard.

Lewis is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Lewis passes easily into side control. Nice work.
The referee asks Lewis politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Lewis prefers to stall for the moment though.

Lewis in side control, working for a kimura. He's got hold of an arm and he's torquing it... Sykes is tapping! That's the end of the fight!
