The judges for this bout are Steve Montenegro, Chad Campbell and Anthony Taglia.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fuckermean bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Rios tries to wriggle free to get back to his feet but he's given up his back! Oops.
Rios might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Fuckermean keeps control of the position as Rios tries to break free.
Rios looking very determined here, making life difficult for Fuckermean.
Rios manages to escape to a better position under a series of strikes. Fuckermean is now in side control.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Fuckermean passes to full mount! That's big trouble for Rios!
Fuckermean really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Rios. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Fuckermean is trying to control the action in half guard but Rios is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

Fuckermean looks to score some points with some ground and pound.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Rios wants to get back to full guard.
Fuckermean trying to control the action but Rios is working from the bottom.
Rios could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Fuckermean wants to advance to full mount but Rios doesn't think that's going to happen and regains full guard instead.
Rios preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
Rios wants to sweep but no luck.
Rios is trying to control the position but Fuckermean postures up.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Rios wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Fuckermean dives in and scores a takedown into Rios's guard.
Fuckermean throws an elbow that misses. Rios uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Fuckermean's guard. Nice move by Rios!

Rios tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Rios has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Rios is working to tighten his grip on Fuckermean's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Fuckermean has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Rios is really squeezing tight and eventually Fuckermean passes out! Rios breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
