PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Coors Light (ranked 4599 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jonathan Maia (ranked 24799 p4p, 0 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Coors Light has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Coors Light seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Maia tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Light swivels and escapes.

Maia doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Light counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.

Light stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Light wants it to stay on the feet.

Light pushes Maia off and gets back to his feet.

Maia shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Light pinned against the cage. Light gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Light gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Maia to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Light on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Light tries to get out of the position.
Light pulls Maia in close to his closed guard and prevents Maia from doing any damage or advancing position.
