Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Kendall Smith (ranked 6230 p4p, 0 weight class) and Malcolm King (ranked 4561 p4p, 0 weight class). Malcolm King will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
King throws a series of punches but Smith moves out of range.
As King tries to get set, Smith tries to push him back and clinch up but King manages to avoid the attempt.
King scores to the head and body with a nice combination!
King jabs at Smith's body.
King dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
King misses with a telegraphed body shot

and Smith holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Smith blocks an uppercut.

Smith gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground.
Smith content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Smith's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
Smith postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.

Smith postures up in King's guard and throws a big left but King blocks it.

King wants to improve his position but instead Smith has moved into half guard.
King is looking to get full guard. It looks like he might be successful but at the last minute Smith jumps into side control!
King on the wrong end of some ground and pound.
King pushes Smith away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Smith gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.

King is working to avoid the ground and pound but Smith connects with a decent elbow.
King tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Smith wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Smith could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

King is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
Smith lands a decent elbow from side control.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Smith looks up at the clock and then as King takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Smith smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
King trying his best to control but Smith has mounted him.
King really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Smith. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Smith cracks King with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.

King has given up his back. Will we see Smith going for some submissions?

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
