The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Reyes shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Henri misses with some strikes from the bottom.
Reyes stops Henri from getting back to his feet.

Henri is looking for a sweep. Reyes is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Reyes accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Henri wants to sweep here but Reyes controlling him for the moment.

Henri is trying to get an arm triangle but Reyes is defending well.
Reyes tries to bench press Henri off him but Henri keeps the position.
Henri is looking to take a break and control but Reyes is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Henri swings around for an armbar but Reyes sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Henri's guard.
Reyes might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Reyes postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.
Henri wants to sweep here but Reyes controlling him for the moment.
Henri wants to control but instead he gets his guard passed and Reyes is now in half guard.
Henri is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Reyes's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Reyes's back!

Henri throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Henri drops back looking for a leg! Reyes is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Reyes manages to kick Henri off! Henri jumps back into Reyes's guard.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Henri wants to get up but he can't break Reyes's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Henri throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Henri tries to close the distance and clinch but Reyes swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Henri looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Henri wants to take a breather but Reyes is having none of it.
Reyes is trying to stand back up but Henri is controlling him

Reyes could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Reyes wants to improve his position but Henri is controlling well.
Henri working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.

Henri drops back, looking for a kneebar! Reyes looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Reyes looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Reyes!

Well Henri has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
