The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jokic shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Cubbedge as he jumps to the side.
Cubbedge throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.

Jokic throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Cubbedge tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Jokic is in Cubbedge 's guard.
Cubbedge is trying to control the position from the bottom.

Cubbedge tries to land a sweep but no joy.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Jokic working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.

Jokic stays in close to Cubbedge 's body and controls the position.

The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.

and Cubbedge connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Jokic wants to clinch up but Cubbedge keeps it at a distance.
Cubbedge throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Cubbedge thuds a left hand into Jokic's body.
Cubbedge keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Cubbedge is looking to counter with a shot to the body.
Britt Cubbedge has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Nikola Jokic.

enabling Cubbedge to counter with a crisp jab.

Cubbedge feints and then cracks Jokic's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Jokic down.
Jokic tries for a takedown but Cubbedge circles away easily
and Cubbedge counters with a straight right hand.
Cubbedge closes the distance and lands a vicious right hand that drops Jokic! Cubbedge dives in looking to finish! Jokic is still trying to defend himself but he's taking too many shots and the referee has no choice but to stop the fight!
