Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Nestor Reyes (ranked 6446 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ro Ag (ranked 4652 p4p, 422 weight class). Ro Ag will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Nestor Reyes!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Ro Ag!
The judges for this bout are Dmitry Maklakov, Aleksandr Martynov and Igor Prikhodko.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Reyes bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Ag tries to improve position but can't.
Reyes tries to score with some ground and pound. Ag controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.
Ag is trying to control Reyes's posture but Reyes avoids it.
Reyes in the domination position with Ag hanging on.
Ag takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.
Reyes avoids the strikes from the bottom by Ag.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Reyes in side control lands a decent elbow.
Reyes in side control, throwing shots but Ag defends.
Ag is looking for a sweep.
Reyes creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Ag sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.

Ag looking for a sweep but Reyes has passed into full mount! Oh no!
Reyes raining down shots from the mount!
Ag tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Ag tries to hold on but Reyes postures up.
Reyes raining down hammerfists from mount.
Ag takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.
Reyes working away from the top, dropping strikes.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Reyes is landing with some decent strikes but Ag is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
Reyes has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Ag's face.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Reyes sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it!
Ag blocking the ground and pound.
Ag wants to hold on but Reyes pushes him away.
Reyes lands a nice shot to the head.
Reyes connects with a couple of good shots from mount.
Reyes has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Ag is working to get back to half guard.
The referee warns Ag that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.

Ag is not a happy chappy… he wants out of there.
Reyes prevents Ag from getting the reversal.
Reyes raining down hammerfists from mount.
Reyes in mount throwing good strikes here, bouncing his opponent's head off the canvas.
Ag tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Ag throwing punches from his back but nothing is landing.
Ag is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Reyes lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Ag tries to lock up and control but Reyes gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Reyes punishing his opponent with strikes.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Reyes landing strikes from the mount and Ag is in trouble!
Reyes lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Ag hang on?
This has been an exciting period of action!
Ag is trying to escape but when you're mounted that's not too easy.
Ag can't escape the position.
Reyes is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Ag can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
Reyes avoids the attempt from Ag to control.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Nestor Reyes dominated that round.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!



Ag throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Reyes tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Ag is in Reyes's guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Reyes is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Ag trying to control the position from guard on top but Reyes is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Ag pushes down on Reyes's leg and manages to get into half guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Reyes looking for submissions from an awkward position here.
Ag is taking a breather. Reyes says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Ag is continuing to stall.
Reyes is looking to escape.
Reyes is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Ag can do to turn this around?

Reyes looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.
Ag thows a huge punch but Reyes dodges it nicely.
Ag controlling the action here.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Ag tries to clinch but Reyes is having none of it.
Reyes could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Ag closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Ag lands in his opponent's guard.

Reyes avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Ag tries to free his leg and advance position but Reyes is retaining full guard.
Ag slips nicely into half guard.
Reyes is trying to stand.

Ag decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up.

Ag closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Ag ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Ag no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
Reyes working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Ag looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Reyes accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Ag wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.
Let's hope that Ag has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
Reyes postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Ag has momentary wrist control but Reyes slips an elbow through the middle.
Ag thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage.

Ag is looking for a triangle here but Reyes uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.
Ag is looking to reverse the position.
Ag stuck in half guard on the bottom here.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Ag is looking for a sweep.
Ag bucks up and tries to throw Reyes off but instead Reyes has got his back!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Ro Ag showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!



Ag shoots in and bounces Reyes off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

Ag avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Reyes is looking for a triangle but Ag pushes his legs off easily.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Ag stands up from Reyes's guard - Ag perhaps looking for a knockout.
Reyes cracks Ag with an open hand slap.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Reyes keeping moving, preventing Ag from controlling successfully.
Ag engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.

Reyes is looking for a triangle here but Ag uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Reyes is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Ag is controlling him well.

Ag is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Reyes has escaped the position, nice work there.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Reyes is pushing Ag's head away, looking to escape. Ag manages to hold on to the position though.
Ag wants to control but Reyes is keeping him busy.
The ground and pound from Ag seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent.

Ag tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Ag has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.

Ag moves into range and clinches up with Reyes.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Ag escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Ag drives through with a takedown into Reyes's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.

Reyes manages to wriggle out and sneak his way back up to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched up against the cage.
Ag taking a breather.
Ag slows down the pace here.

Ag jumps guard and drags Reyes to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Reyes connects with a couple of short punches.

And that's the end of the fight!
Ro Ag comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Ag has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
