Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Colin McLauhglin (ranked 3627 p4p, 327 weight class) and Lucio Francisco Carmo (ranked 3181 p4p, 295 weight class). McLauhglin comes into the arena with What the hell are you waiting for blaring out of the sound system. Carmo has chosen Rolling Stones - Paint it, Black as his entrance music. Colin McLauhglin could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Lucio Francisco Carmo's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 14 - 15 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Lucio Francisco Carmo!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Timothy Bukovac and Jack Bonds.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Carmo lands a jab to the nose.
McLauhglin takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Carmo scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. McLauhglin doesn't seem bothered though.
McLauhglin lands the left hand.
Carmo avoids a lazy jab quite easily.

McLauhglin moves into the clinch successfully.
Carmo is working for takedown but McLauhglin is calmly controlling the position for now.
Carmo lands a nice uppercut.
McLauhglin misses with the head strike.

Carmo is trying to trip McLauhglin. He has hold of a leg but McLauhglin is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Carmo persists though and gets the takedown into guard.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

McLauhglin escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Carmo gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Carmo sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed McLauhglin's guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Carmo throws a big right hand that misses.
McLauhglin wants to sweep here but Carmo controlling him for the moment.

McLauhglin thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage.

Carmo thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

McLauhglin has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Carmo can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

McLauhglin is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

McLauhglin drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Carmo manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now McLauhglin has Carmo in his guard.

That was a close second round but I would say that Colin McLauhglin will probably get the nod.

McLauhglin using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Carmo has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.

Carmo is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but McLauhglin is keeping busy.

McLauhglin escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
McLauhglin moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Carmo goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Carmo misses with a body punch.
McLauhglin creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses.
A battle for position here, against the cage.

McLauhglin pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Carmo throws a lazy right hand but McLauhglin sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
A little feinted left hand from McLauhglin on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
McLauhglin throws a hook but Carmo blocks it.
Nice shot lands for McLauhglin.

Carmo fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. McLauhglin sprawls well initially but Carmo persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
McLauhglin tries to roll over but Carmo keeps him under control.

McLauhglin is refusing to be controlled, as Carmo sits in half guard.
Carmo passes to full mount!
McLauhglin is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Carmo trying to control but he's not successful this time.

Carmo has control of McLauhglin's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and McLauhglin regains control of the situation pretty easily.

Carmo can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as McLauhglin is looking to escape.

Lucio Francisco Carmo comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Carmo has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
