Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Darrick Castaneda!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Lewis Jones!
The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Alan Glass and Robert Twigg.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Castaneda shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Jones pinned against the cage. Jones gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Jones lands the left hand.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Castaneda is trying hard to land a takedown here. Jones sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

Jones sizes up Castaneda with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.

Castaneda on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.

Castaneda dives in and scores a takedown into Jones's guard.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Jones can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Castaneda controls the pace.

Castaneda seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Jones for as long as he can get away with.
Castaneda is looking to stand up but Jones won't let him.
Castaneda slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Castaneda shoots for a double leg takedown but Jones sprawls well. He's pushed Castaneda's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
As Castaneda backs off Jones throws a huge counter combo but Castaneda manages to avoid it all.

Castaneda shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Jones pinned against the cage. Jones gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Castaneda shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Jones sprawls well. Jones wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Castaneda gets slowly back to his feet.

Castaneda is figuring out what he wants to do next.
Castaneda's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Castaneda scores with a couple of good hammerfists.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Castaneda is figuring out what he wants to do next.
Jones has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Further stalling from Castaneda.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close second round but I would say that Darrick Castaneda will probably get the nod.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Jones scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
Castaneda shoots in for a takedown but Jones shows good takedown defense.
Jones bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Castaneda's head backwards.

And that's the end of the fight!
Lewis Jones comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Jones has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
