The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Star Platinum misses with a low kick.
Ison throws a sloppy head kick and Star Platinum moves out of range easily.
Ison throws a body kick that misses.
Ison misses with a head kick.
Ison lands a nice leg kick that just misses Star Platinum's sensitive parts.
Jotaro Star Platinum seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Ison tries a head kick but it misses.
Sloppy strikes from Star Platinum. Those never looked like landing.
A quick step to the side and Ison tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect.
Ison is looking to slow Star Platinum down with leg kicks.
Ison scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Star Platinum tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Ison appeared to be looking to counter that last move with a leg kick.

Star Platinum looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Ison lands with a good body shot.
Star Platinum's coach down at MMA Dojo (Top Gym in Tokyo*) was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Star Platinum's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.

Ison throws a half hearted mid kick.

Star Platinum is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Ison throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Ison lands a big head kick that sends Star Platinum tumbling to the mat! Ison takes a step backwards and waves Star Platinum back to his feet - he wants the finish!

Star Platinum is rocked!

It looks like Jotaro Star Platinum has been cut.
Ison pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Despite the aggression on Star Platinum's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.
Star Platinum is still on wobbly legs! Can Ison finish him?
Ison digs a good hook to Star Platinum's body.
Ison throws a powerful right kick. Star Platinum tried to block low but the kick was high! Star Platinum was taken right off of his feet! Ison jumps in to finish the job and the ref tackles him! The fight is over!
