Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Gabriel Arones (ranked 995 p4p, 124 weight class) and Dock Ellis (ranked 1548 p4p, 179 weight class). Arones comes into the arena with Lonely is the night blaring out of the sound system. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Arones cracks Ellis with a right hand to the side of the head.
Ellis cracks Arones with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Ellis connects with a body shot.
Ellis throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Ellis fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Arones on the side of the head.
Ellis misses with a body punch
and Ellis takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Arones throws a right hand that misses
and Ellis counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Arones misses with a straight left.
Arones takes a head kick and keeps coming.
It looks like Gabriel Arones has been cut.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Arones drives through with a takedown into Ellis's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.
Arones stands up over Ellis, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Arones prevents Ellis from getting back to his feet.
Arones is looking to work some ground and pound but Ellis has wrist control.

Ellis wriggles free and stands up.

Arones takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Ellis throws a body punch but Arones moves out of range.
Ellis lands with a hook. Arones tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
Arones takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
Ellis throws a jab when Arones was well out of range.
Ellis throws a lazy head kick
and Arones counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Ellis will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Arones throws a body punch but Ellis moves out of range.
Ellis throws a shot from downtown. Arones moves away and avoids it.
Ellis lands a body shot.
Arones just misses with a punch to the body.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Ellis misses with a hook
and Arones counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
Ellis pushes Arones off and gets back to his feet.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Ellis scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
Dock Ellis is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
A slow jab from Ellis misses its intended target.
Arones ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Ellis avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Arones gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Ellis.
Ellis misses with a looping left.
Ellis connects with a single shot there.
Ellis lands a big head kick that sends Arones tumbling to the mat! Ellis takes a step backwards and waves Arones back to his feet - he wants the finish!
Arones is rocked!
Arones backs away from a small jab... but Ellis lunges forward with a huge superman punch! Arones crumples to the ground as his mouth piece is sent flying! Ellis with a spectacular finish!
