The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Jack Bonds and Don Winkell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Robinson closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Burks did well to prevent Robinson getting side control.
Burks really is a fat lump.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Robinson creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots.

Robinson goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Burks rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Robinson's guard! Nice work there by Burks!

Burks postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

Robinson working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Burks doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Burks manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Robinson is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Burks defends well.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Robinson jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Burks walks away with a smile on his face. Robinson gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Burks misses with a few strikes there.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Burks tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Robinson defends well and Burks ends up having to push Robinson into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

Robinson has knee on belly momentarily but Burks bucks him off and regains half guard.

Robinson is taking a breather. Burks says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

I would just about give that final round to Alan Robinson.
