Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Nathan James (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jean Claude Van Damme (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think James might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to a great song. Van Damme has chosen Fight To Survive as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Van Damme takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Van Damme throws a sloppy head kick and James moves out of range easily.
Van Damme tries to clinch up but James circles away and keeps his distance.
James closes this distance looking for a takedown but Van Damme circles away.
Van Damme misses with a jab, cross combination.
James fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Van Damme lands a front kick.
James is breathing heavily.
Van Damme doesn't succeed with the takedown

and James counters with a nice double leg into guard.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Van Damme manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Van Damme tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Van Damme really doesn't want to stay on the ground with James. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

I looks like Van Damme might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.

Despite being in the dominant position, Jean Claude Van Damme just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
