PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Lucas Pablo (ranked 3839 p4p, 397 weight class) and Joshua Pryce (ranked 3687 p4p, 386 weight class). Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 12 - 0, fighting out of London, Lucas Pablo!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Joshua Pryce!
The judges for this bout are James Glass, William Gold and Colin Fotheringham.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pablo takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Pryce lands with an uppercut that bounces Pablo off the cage and back into range.
Lucas Pablo seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Pablo closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Pryce's guard.

Pryce really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Pablo. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Pablo misses with a takedown attempt - Pryce sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Pryce wants to counter with a clinch but Pablo pushes him away.
Pryce lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Pablo shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Pryce but Pryce pushes him off and we're back to square one.

That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Lucas Pablo. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Pablo is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Pryce gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.

Pablo manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.

Pryce got a little sloppy there for a moment and Pablo has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Pryce has managed to get both his arms back between Pablo's legs - danger averted.

Pablo will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Pablo has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Pryce can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Pryce is in close to Pablo's body, working some short punches and elbows.
Pryce content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Pryce postures up in Pablo's guard and throws a big left but Pablo blocks it.
Pryce chips away with some ground and pound.
Pablo utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Pryce won't allow Pablo to sweep him here.
Pablo avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Pablo dives in for a single leg takedown but Pryce sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
No luck for Pablo with that takedown attempt.
Pablo is breathing heavily.
Pryce lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Pryce.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Pryce stuffs the takedown attempt from Pablo. Pablo gets slowly back to his feet.
Pryce feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Pablos jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Joshua Pryce dominated that round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!


A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Pablo.
Pryce lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Pablo backs up against the cage.
Pablo tries to clinch up.
Danga de danga de dang - Pryce scores with a four punch combination!


Pablo is rocked!
Pablo tries to get into range but Pryce steps to the side and lands a beautiful hook that drops Pablo! He's faceplanted into the mat, ass in the air... he's out cold! That's an image he won't want to show his grandkids when he gets older! Pryce scores the big KO victory!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:35 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Joshua Pryce!
