Pereira comes to the cage accompanied by J.Balvin, Willy William - Mi Gente. Michel Pereira has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Tyler Gipson!
The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, George Francis and Daniel Franklin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pereira scores with a hook.
Pereira misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Pereira misses with a few strikes there.
Gipson misses the shot to the body.
Gipson tries to move into range but Pereira moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Pereira throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
Pereira pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Gipson appears to be waiting to throw a counter punch to the body.
Pereira lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Gipson circles away quickly and effectively.
No joy there for Gipson, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Pereira was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Gipson dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Pereira. That did some damage!
Pereira looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.

Gipson takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.

Pereira scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Gipson doesn't seem bothered though.
Pereira lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.

It looks like Tyler Gipson has been cut.
Pereira fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

Gipson is still on wobbly legs! Can Pereira finish him?

Gipson seems to have recovered his senses.

Pereira lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Gipson circles away quickly and effectively.
Gipson lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Gipson.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Gipson.
Gipson throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Gipson throws a leg kick but Pereira moved away.
Pereira throws a nice looking combination but Gipson bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Pereira cracks Gipson with a right hand to the side of the head.
Pereira rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Gipson moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Gipson will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Pereira fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Gipson.

Gipson tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

Pereira lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Pereira throws a right hand that Gipson ducks under and follows up with a left that Gipson also avoids with ease.

The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Pereira feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Gipson's calf.
Pereira moves out of range of the body kick from Gipson.
Gipson will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Pereira connects with a vicious head kick that knocks Gipson to the floor! Pereira dives in looking for the finish!

Pereira decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet.

Gipson's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down.
Pereira lands with an overhand left.
Gipson avoids the head kick by Pereira.
Gipson gets caught by a big overhand right and goes down! Pereira gets on top of him and starts throwing some serious punches until the ref intervenes and stops the fight!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:22 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Michel Pereira!
Michel Pereira was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
