PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Mauricio Wakimi (ranked 2853 p4p, 335 weight class) and Con Musicman (ranked 3037 p4p, 351 weight class). Con Musicman told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Musicman tries for a takedown but Wakimi circles away easily
and Wakimi counters with a series of strikes. Musicman will be more careful next time no doubt.

Musicman looking to score a takedown here. Wakimi is defending well but Musicman drives through and ends up in Wakimi's guard.
Musicman throws a big elbow that misses.
Musicman slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
Musicman is pushing down on Wakimi's leg trying to pass to half guard. Wakimi is fighting to maintain full guard but Musicman has managed to sneak the leg through.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Musicman decides to stand back up. Musicman steps back and let's Wakimi get back to his feet.
Mauricio Wakimi is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Wakimi is really turning it up, unleashing another crisp combination which drops Musicman like a ton of bricks! The referee dives in to stop the fight, saving Musicman from another fist facial!
