Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Tad Serrano (ranked 4689 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lauris Darzins (ranked 2667 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Tad Serrano!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Lauris Darzins!
The judges for this bout are Ben Zyskovitsi, Arvi Lind and Tarja Halkonen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Darzins shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Darzins was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Serrano accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Serrano throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Darzins works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

Darzins is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Serrano lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.

Darzins uses the cage to get back to his feet.
Darzins tries to bum rush Serrano with a series of wild strikes but Serrano uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Serrano tries to keep at a distance but Darzins has taken the fight into the clinch.
Serrano is trying to pull guard but Darzins turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.

Darzins is stalling here. Serrano is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Darzins seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Serrano has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.

Darzins is looking to take a break and control but Serrano is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Darzins ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Darzins no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
Darzins has momentary wrist control but Serrano slips an elbow through the middle.
Darzins bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Serrano's guard.

A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Serrano holds on and takes a little breather.

Lauris Darzins comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Darzins has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
