Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between K O Connor (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Fabricio Paiva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Connor comes into the arena with Created a Monster blaring out of the sound system. K O Connor has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Connor looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Paiva closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Paiva had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Connor is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Paiva Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Connor's back instead.
Connor knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Paiva on the ground.

Connor is covering up but some of the strikes from Paiva are getting through and doing damage.

Paiva is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. Connor is defending well though. Paiva let's go of the attempt for now.
