Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Maximo Copeland!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Randy Ravage!
The judges for this bout are George Francis, Gwen Towbar and Wesley Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Copeland shoots in for a double leg but Ravage sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Ravage scores with a one two! Copeland had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.

Copeland manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Ravage on his heels. He'll look to pass Ravage's guard now, I'm sure.
Copeland throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Ravage works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Copeland postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.

Ravage is scooting his butt against the cage and has managed to get back to his feet. Copeland presses him back against the cage, presumably looking to take the fight back to the mat.
Copeland is trying to pull guard but Ravage turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Copeland has control of Ravage's left arm, preventing Ravage from doing any damage.
Ravage trying to control but Copeland is working from the bottom.
Copeland looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.

Copeland has his foot on Ravage's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Ravage works his way back into a safe position though.

Copeland seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Ravage postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Copeland has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Copeland is adopting a defensive guard.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Ravage throws a head kick that misses.

Copeland is rocked!
Copeland throws a nice looking combination but Ravage bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Oh Copeland is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Ravage throws a 1-2 combo that connects squarely on Copeland's jaw, knocking him onto his back! Ravage dives in looking to finish as Copeland flails his arms in a desperate attempt to block Ravage's strikes! Ravage is raining down hammerfists and the ref stops it! Copeland's desperate flailing just didn't constitute intelligent defence. Some people will probably question the ref's decision but Copeland was definitely hurt and the ref saved him from taking unnecessary punishment. A fighter's safety is paramount in this sport.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:30 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Randy Ravage!
