Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Dek Bucknut (ranked 17457 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ii Sub (ranked 3167 p4p, 0 weight class). Ii Sub will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Dek Bucknut!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Ii Sub!
The judges for this bout are Shigeki Fujiwara, Yuuki Gou and Tatsuya Matsuyama.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A swing and a miss from Sub.
Bucknut shoots in for a takedown but Sub shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Bucknut closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Bucknut controls the position from side control.
Bucknut landing strikes.
Sub wants to control but Bucknut postures up.
Sub gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.
Bucknut knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Sub on the ground.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Bucknut is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
Bucknut stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Sub swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Sub working for a triangle but Bucknut defends it easily.
Bucknut connects with a couple of short punches.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Sub is on top in guard.

Bucknut is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Bucknut avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Bucknut is trying to keep Sub in close.
Sub wants to control from the top but Bucknut keeps moving.
Sub postures up in Bucknut's guard and throws a big left but Bucknut blocks it.
Bucknut looking to hit a scissor sweep but Sub is one step ahead there.

Sub stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Bucknut swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Sub content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.
Bucknut wants to stand and escape but Sub is having none of it.

Sub postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Bucknut is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Sub, into his guard.

Sub is trying to control the position but Bucknut postures up.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Bucknut working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Sub's head.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Dek Bucknut dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Sub is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Dek Bucknut overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Sub blocks the strikes from Bucknut.

Bucknut on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Bucknut tries to get out of the position.

Bucknut misses with a takedown attempt - Sub sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Sub lands a slapping body shot.
Bucknut misses with a hook. Sub ducked under it nicely.
Sub now looks to counter with a shot at the body.
Sub looks to score with a jab to the body but Bucknut is just out of range.
Bucknut tries to counter by clinching up but Sub breaks away and moves out of range.
Sub throws a body shot but no joy.
Bucknut fires out a quick counter leg kick but Sub just manages to avoid it.
Bucknut avoids a punch combination nicely.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Sub throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Sub thows a left - swing and a miss!
Bucknut throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Ii Sub showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. And we move into the final round!


Bucknut shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Sub as he avoids it easily.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Bucknut is looking to control Sub's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Bucknut avoid being mounted?

Bucknut is looking for a sweep. Sub is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

I think Sub has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
