The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

A momentary lapse in concentration from Villa enables Krawlee to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Villa manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Krawlee is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Villa is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Krawlee might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Villa haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
Krawlee has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Krawlee has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Villa is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Krawlee yanks on the arm and Villa is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Krawlee.
