Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Rickson Time (ranked 4794 p4p, 202 weight class) and Grigori Perelman (ranked 5230 p4p, 212 weight class). Rickson Time had a look across the cage there at his opponent. He definitely means business

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Grigori Perelman!
The judges for this bout are Phil Schofield, Chris Edwards and Daniel Bishop.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Perelman shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Time pinned against the cage. Time gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Time appears to be looking for a counter takedown.
Perelman closes this distance looking for a takedown but Time circles away.
Time misses with the combination.

and Time holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Rickson Time has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Grigori Perelman.
Perelman tries to score a body lock takedown but Time shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
Perelman is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Time controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Perelman utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

Perelman is looking to sweep but instead, Time has passed into half guard.
Time is just content to waste time from the top position. Perelman takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.
Time tries to free his leg and advance position but Perelman is retaining full guard.
Time throws a big elbow that misses.
Time sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Perelman's guard.
Perelman is trying to control but can't.

Time is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Time uses his free foot to push down on Perelman's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Perelman.
We've been hearing that Time has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish.

Time not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
Perelman manages to get to full guard.
Perelman is trying to keep Time in close.
Our spies down at at Vae Victis MMA Club inform us that Perelman has really been working on his submissions in the buildup to this fight. Will it pay off?
Time stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Perelman swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Time trying to control the position from guard on top but Perelman is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Time loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Time is in close to Perelman's body, working some short punches and elbows.

Perelman shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Time defends it nicely.
It looked like Time wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.

Time rushes Perelman and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

Time is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Perelman can't fight it off and eventually Time manages to take the fight to the floor. Perelman looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Perelman is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Time is just riding it out for now. Perelman eventually gives up the hold.

Perelman wants to take a breather but Time is having none of it.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Perelman tries to score a power double leg takedown but Time sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Perelman somewhat.

Perelman drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.

Well Time has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
