The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sims looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Sanchez is fending him off so far but Sims persists. Nope, Sanchez circles away and we're back to standing.
Sims shoots in and drives through. Sanchez sprawls well.
Sanchez avoids a punch combination nicely.
Sims shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Sanchez but Sanchez pushes him off and we're back to square one.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ray Sims. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Sanchez throws a one two combo.
Sims gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Sims throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Sanchez's waist but Sanchez gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Sims off to one side.
Sims is breathing heavily.
Sims seems to be squinting his left eye. Perhaps he got a poke in that previous exchange. Sanchez shows no mercy and swarms him with a barage of strikes! Sims is backing up but Sanchez catches him with a final right hook that drops him! Sims covers up and the referee steps in to end the fight! Sanchez Jumps to his feet and flashes his guns to the crowd. Oh yeah, baby! How'd you like them apples?!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:32 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Diago Sanchez!
