The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Turie prevents Guthrie from breaking the clinch.

Turie has Guthrie pressed against the cage, preventing Guthrie from circling away and getting back to striking at range.

Turie is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.
Guthrie wants to control from the top but Turie keeps moving.
Turie has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.
Turie is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Turie looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
Turie frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Turie blocks Guthrie's feeble attempts to strike from the bottom.

Turie takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Turie's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
Turie postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Guthrie looks a forlorn figure.

A big strike lands for Turie! That's really hurt Guthrie and he's turned his back - Turie keeps firing away and the ref dives in to stop the fight! Turie jumps to his feet to celebrate the victory!
