The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Overmars has managed to clinch.

Overmars manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
Santos tries to free his leg and advance position but Overmars is retaining full guard.
Overmars can't keep his opponent in guard - Santos advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.


Overmars shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Santos as he jumps to the side.
Overmars fails miserably with a takedown attempt.

Santos has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Overmars avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Overmars misses with a short punch on the inside.
Overmars has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Santos is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Santos tries to push Overmars's head away but Overmars is holding on tight.
Overmars is desperately trying to improve his position but Santos has a good base and remains in mount.

Overmars is trying to escape the mount.

Santos with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.

Overmars sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Overmars looks like he's trying to stand up.
Overmars is looking for a sweep. Santos is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Charles Overmars is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

Santos jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Overmars is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Overmars and Santos has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
