PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Bretton Pritcharf (ranked 2765 p4p, 112 weight class) and Jimrex Jaca (ranked 4673 p4p, 150 weight class). Jaca has chosen Twinkle-twinkle little star as his entrance music. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jaca swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

Pritcharf shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.

Jaca working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Pritcharf doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Pritcharf manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Pritcharf is trying hard to land a takedown here. Jaca sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Pritcharf uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Jaca.

Pritcharf doesn't manage to clinch there - Jaca circles away.

Pritcharf shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Jaca manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

Jaca is scooting his butt against the cage and has managed to get back to his feet. Pritcharf presses him back against the cage, presumably looking to take the fight back to the mat.

Pritcharf dives in and grabs Jaca's left leg, looking for a takedown. Jaca pushes down on Pritcharf's head and hops out.

Jaca lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Pritcharf circles away quickly and effectively.
Pritcharf takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.

Pritcharf shoots for a takedown but Jaca saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Jaca lands a left and a right that send Pritcharf crashing to the mat, dazed. Jaca thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

It looks like Bretton Pritcharf has been cut.
Pritcharf finds himself stumbling back on wobbly legs after being clipped by a right hand. He's up against the cage, ducking and weaving under Jaca's strikes but an uppercut finds it's way through and Pritcharf falls! - He's completely out of it and the ref jumps in to save him!
